Awe, cute little guy. Its not the big ones you have to worry about as far as their sting, its the little ones. The big ones have those claws but relatively little poison. Little ones on the other hand evolved to have little bodies but make up for it with their sting. Rule for scorpions, little claws, big sting. Big claws (and body) little sting. People in Thailand and India eat these poor things.

forest scorpion if I believe it to be. grows quite a size, records of larger then an Emperor scorpion

beloutte, your timing on this is *perfect* ... as are all the others in the gallery. You have a natural talent for finding the ideal moment in time to capture for the world to see! The pose reflects one that I have seen many times (but in a much smaller version, thank you very much!); a pose of defense and natural beauty all at once. Keep up the great work! I will be watching for more pictures to be posted.
